REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR TRANSCRIPTION OF BIRTH REGISTRATION

Birth transcript

The birth certificate does not require the presence of the parents (if they are married, only one of them is required) and two witnesses with valid identification documents and must be accompanied by the payment receipt of the said fee.

To proceed with the transcription of the birth registration, they must gather the following documents:

1. Form duly completed.
2. Full Copy of Birth Certificate, Complete Narrative Certificate of Birth and Identity Card
3. Consular registration of parents (Angolan citizen)
4. Residence Permit
5. The registrant’s original birth certificate (minor child)

Note: The full copy of the birth certificate or the Birth Certificate must be duly authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Angola (validity period equal to or less than 6 months).

Important note: All documents in a foreign language (except the passport, the international certificate of vaccinations and proof of flight and hotel reservations) must be previously translated into Portuguese by an official translator and authenticated by the local authorities (MOFA).
